Effects and Recommendation :
Resulting In: hypoglycemia Gemfibrozil may inhibit the metabolism and increase the serum concentration of Pioglitazone HCl.
If combination is needed, monitor blood glucose closely and lower dose of pioglitazone if needed. Fenofibrate may be a better option.
