Effects and Recommendation : Resulting In: Rhabdomyolysis Concomitant use of Lovastatin and Gemfibrozil can potentiate some adverse effects.
Avoid this drug combination if possible. This drug combination, however, may be beneficial in patients with severe hyperlipidemias. Monitor patients for signs of muscle pain and weakness. Max dose is 20mg/day.
