Home : K : Ketoconazole : Pioglitazone HCl and Ketoconazole
Effects and Recommendation :
Ketoconazole may inhibit the metabolism of Pioglitazone HCl thus increasing the serum concentration of Pioglitazone HCl.
Monitor patient for loss of blood sugar control . May need a lower PIOGLITAZONE dose if indicated.
