Lamotrigine and Carbamazepine

Effects and Recommendation :
Carbamazepine may reduce the serum levels and pharmacological effects of Lamotrigine. Lamotrigine may increase the plasma level of the active metabolite of Carbamazepine.
Observe patient for clinical response to LAMOTRIGINE. Adjustment of LAMOTRIGINE dose may be necessary when starting or stopping CARBAMAZEPINE therapy.
