Effects and Recommendation :
Resulting In: ataxia, confusion Concomitant administartion of Quinidine and Amantadine HCl may increase the risk of Amantadine HCl toxicity. Quinidine may increase serum levels of Amantadine HCl in males but not females.
Elevated serum level of AMANTADINE reported in male subjects but not in females. More studies needed to determine the significance of gender differences. Monitor patients for CNS side effects.
